Doom (World)
Doom, a first-person shooter, was a significant port to the Atari Jaguar, bringing the iconic PC game to the console. While not matching the PC version's graphical fidelity, the Jaguar version offered a surprisingly faithful adaptation of the groundbreaking gameplay. Players navigate through a series of terrifying levels battling demons and other horrific creatures using a variety of weapons. The Jaguar version's strengths lie in its gameplay, successfully recreating the visceral intensity of its predecessor within the limitations of the hardware. Released in 1995, it is considered one of the more impressive ports on the Jaguar and showcases the system's potential for action games. The port was handled by Williams Entertainment.
