Super Robot Taisen Compact 2 is the sequel to the first Super Robot Wars Compact game. This installment expands on the original game by featuring a more extensive storyline divided into three parts ('Dai Ichibu', 'Dai Nibu', and 'Dai Sanbu'). This narrative structure increases the scale of the game’s campaign, introducing many more characters and mecha units from various anime shows than the original game. The core gameplay of turn-based strategy combat remains intact, incorporating similar tactical elements and unit management. Banpresto handled the development and release of this game for the WonderSwan, cementing their role in bringing the Super Robot Wars universe to the handheld console.
